Welcome to Holy Name of Jesus Catholic School! It has been a true honor to step into the role of Principal at the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year. I hope that you will not only take time to explore our website and the many benefits our school has to offer your family, but will also visit us in person. I would be honored to give your family a tour of our school and church, and share the many amazing things we have taking place at Holy Name.
Holy Name has been serving families in Beech Grove and surrounding communities since 1922. We offer a quality, Catholic education for students in grades PK3-8th grade. While visiting our school you will have the opportunity to experience the caring and supportive community where we are truly dedicated to educating the whole child. Our daily school pledge states, "Using Christ as our model, we strive daily to enhance the growth of each person. In His way, we develop life-long learners who are committed to knowing, loving, and serving God." The faculty, staff, students, and parents work together to support this mission each and every day.
In addition to daily religion instruction at Holy Name, we attend Mass as a school family twice a week and Eucharistic Adoration each Thursday. There are multiple opportunities for all-school prayer, class prayer, and individual prayer. We have seen great growth in our academic offerings and available technology over the last few years. We have cultivated excellence in instruction across grade levels through on-going professional development, and have developed programs that ensure our students are growing academically, socially, and spiritually.
Great things are happening each day at Holy Name, and I feel blessed to be part of such a welcoming and special community. I urge you to consider Holy Name for your family. Smaller class sizes provide our teachers the opportunity for more individualized and small group instruction, while also attending to the emotional, social, and spiritual needs of your children.
Choosing a Catholic education for your children is a major decision that comes with sacrifices. We are truly grateful for the sacrifices you are willing to make for your children, and welcome the opportunity to work alongside you to make Holy Name a viable option for your family. If you are looking for a Catholic education that will nurture your family's faith, provide a rigorous curriculum, and a true sense of family, I have no doubt Holy Name is the right place for you.
Peace,
Amy Wright
