Just as we believe each child is a unique creation of God, that brings with it the reality that all children learn differently. We are blessed at Holy Name to be able to provide a variety of services for students. We have two, full-time Resource teachers and a full-time Title One teacher who collaborate with parents, students, teachers, and adminstration to work tirelessly to meet the needs of students with learning challenges. Our teachers utilize classroom data as well as NWEA assessment data to meet the needs of all our students.
Response to Instrution (RTI)
This "first step" is a formal process to work to identify if there are learning needs that are not being met in a traditional classroom setting. This process includes Response to Instruction (RtI).
Individualized Service Plans (ISP)
We work closely with our partners in the Beech Grove City Schools to evaluate, identify, and plan for students with disabilities. These plans are in place to help students meet their academic and behavioral goals. Most, if not all, of the services are provided by Holy Name teachers and staff.
School Social Worker
Through our partnership with Catholic Charities, we have a social worker with us once a week. She works with small groups and individual students on a wide-range of social and emotional needs free of charge. Please contact our school office to speak with our social worker or for more information.
